01 Our language helps to reveal our deeper assumptions.
02 Think of these revealing phrases: When we accomplish something important, we say it took “blood, sweat, and tears.”
03 We say important achievements are “hard-earned.”
04 We recommend a “hard day’s work” when “day’s work” would be enough.
05 When we talk of “easy money,” we are implying it was obtained through illegal or questionable means.
06 We use the phrase “That’s easy for you to say” as a criticism, usually when we are seeking to invalidate someone’s opinion.
07 It’s like we all automatically accept that the “right” way is, inevitably, the harder one.
08 In my experience, this is hardly ever questioned.
09 What would happen if you do challenge this sacred cow?
10 We don’t even pause to consider that something important and valuable could be made easy.
11 What if the biggest thing keeping us from doing what matters is the false assumption that it has to take huge effort?

01 우리의 언어는 우리의 더 깊은 전제를 드러내는 것을 돕는다.
02 이것을 잘 드러내는 다음과 같은 문꾸들을 생각해 보라.
03 우리가 중요한 무언가를 성취할 때, 우리는 그것이 ‘피, 땀, 그리고 눈물’을 필요로 했다고 말한다.
04 우리는 중요한 성과는, ‘힘들게 얻은’ 것,이라고 말한다.

09 나의 경험상 이것은 거의 한번도 의문이 제기되지 않는다.
10 만약 여러분이 정말로 이 신성한 소에 맞선다면 무슨 일이 일어날까?
11 우리는 중요하고 가치 있는 무언가를 쉬운 것으로 만들 수 있다고 잠시 멈춰 생각해 보지도 않는다.
12 만약 우리가 중요한 일을 하지 못하게 하는 가장 큰 것이, 중요한 일은 엄청난 노력을 필요로 한다는 잘못된 전제라면 어떨까?
