❶    Humans born without sight are not able to collect visual experiences, so they understand the world entirely through their other senses. 

 

❷    As a result, people with blindness at birth develop an amazing ability to understand the world through the collection of experiences and memories that come from these non-­visual senses. 

 

❸    The dreams of a person who has been without sight since birth can be just as vivid and imaginative as those of someone with normal vision.

 

 

 

❹    They are unique, however, because their dreams are constructed from the non-­visual experiences and memories they have collected. 

 

❺     A person with normal vision will dream about a familiar friend using visual memories of shape, lighting, and colour. 

 

❻     But, a blind person will associate the same friend with a unique combination of experiences from their non-­visual senses that act to represent that friend.  

 

❼    In other words, people blind at birth have similar overall dreaming experiences even though they do not dream in pictures.

선천적으로 시각장애를 가진 사람은 시각적 경험을 수집할 수 없어서, 세상을 전적으로 다른 감각을 통해 이해한다. 

그 결과, 선천적으로 시각장애를 가진 사람들은 이러한 비시각적 감각에서 오는 경험과 기억의 수집을 통해 세상을 이해하는 놀라운 능력을 개발한다. 

선천적으로 시각장애를 가진 사람이 꾸는 꿈은 정상 시력을 가진 사람의 꿈처럼 생생하고 상상력이 풍부할 수 있다. 

그러나 그들의 꿈은 그들이 수집한 비시각적 경험과 기억으로부터 구성되기 때문에 그들은 특별하다. 

정상적인 시력을 가진 사람들은 형태, 빛 그리고 색의 시각적 기억을 사용하여 친숙한 친구에 대해 꿈을 꿀 것이다. 

하지만, 시각장애인은 그 친구를 구현하는 데 작용하는 비시각적 감각에서 나온 독특한 조합의 경험으로 그 친구를 연상할것이다.

다시 말해, 선천적 시각 장애인들은 시각적인 꿈을 꾸지는 않지만, 전반적으로 비슷한 꿈을 경험한다.
