❷ These storms leave thousands of people injured or dead, while forcing others to run away from their homes.

❸ They also give rise to amazing stories of survival.

❹ Here is a story of a young man who survived Hurricane Sandy, one of the most violent storms ever to hit the United States.

❺ A lady named Christine at Toms River, New Jersey, where the hurricane hit hard, was lucky enough to escape from her house before the storm hit.

❻ When she returned to her damaged house, after the storm had passed, she found a note.

➊ 매년, 전 세계로부터의 신문은  다른 지역을 강타한 큰 해양 폭풍을 다룬다. 

❷ 이런 폭풍들은 수천 명의 사상자를 남기는 한편, 다른 이들을 그들의 집에서 떠나게 만든다. 

❸ 그들은 또한 놀라운 생존의 이야기를 낳는다. 

❹ 미국을 강타한 가장 강력한 폭풍 중 하나인 허리케인 Sandy에서 살아남은 한 젊은이에 대한 이야기가 있다.

❺ 그 허리케인이 거세게 강타한   뉴저지의 Toms River에서 Christine이라는 이름을 가진 여성은 폭풍이 몰아치기 전에 운 좋게도  그녀의 집에서 도망쳤다. 

❻ 폭풍이 지나가고 그녀가 손상된 집으로 돌아왔을 때, 그녀는 쪽지를 발견했다.
